First it's the price, then the location. I sometimes go up to 5 miles out of the way if there is a significant difference in price.

#1 - Location of the station
#2 - Brand
#3 - Price

For me to drive out of my way for gas, it would have to be an enormous price difference.

Price then quality (brand)... However I don't go out of my way to get the cheapest... I just find what is lowest on my regular routes.

I buy my gas that's on the same route I take to & from work, then price is the deciding factor.

Quality of gas? they all get their gas from the same depot the only difference is what additives some stations may add to the gas. sorry but I just don't think that justifies paying extra

driving out of my way to get the best price means that I'll spend more if I don't save enough. My Neon gets over 30 MPG and at $3.00 a gallon that translates to 10 cents per mile, as I usually can get 10 gallons if I drive one mile out of my way to save 1 cent per gallon then I have not saved anything in fact I am loosing time and adding wear and tear on my car so unless I can save significantly more than a penny or two it just doesn't pay to drive out of my way
