These vehicles are not for the majority of consumers. All electric need to greatly improve & come down in price.

I honestly do not believe that partisan politics will be able stop progress. It is too bad that this country have so many uninformed or just stupid people. However, growth and progress will push forward despite ignorance and greed.

Why don't they address the issues with EVs? Toxic batteries and electricity generated from the same old polluting utility companies.

DIY BEVs are cheaper to make, and are good enough for 80-90% of daily uses. They cost less in the long run.

Cheaper now, but obama is shutting down coal power plants in favor of more expensive "green energy" and shipping coal to Asia! We lose.

They are expensive to buy and not so cheap to operate. Have you looked at your electric bill lately? How much does the EV save in polution if electric power plants use fossil fuels? What are the emissions of electric motors and batteries? This sounds more like a case of government intrusion than environment friendly.

Insert some vacuous no-no comment from Obama Derangement Syndrome ditto monkey; but Osama is dead, GM is alive, and Seamus the dog is tied to the roof of Willard's Mercedes Benz.

The environment is not why I would drive one. I like the idea of driving a super-quiet car that doesn't need an oil change, gas fill-up, or spark plugs.
Develop better batteries to extend the range and convert gas stations to have quick charge centers and this is a great idea.

I’m hearing good things about the Volt, unless I’m watching FOX. Since I believe everything they say, I’m waiting on buying one of these or getting a used Peacock

The only reason these cars are cheaper to operate is due to subsidized electric rates and the failure of the feds and state legislatures to impose mileage taxes in lieu of gasoline taxes. They can never pay their own way.

They need to bring the price down of electric cars and especially need to down the battery price and up its efficiency.
